Malaga
Airport
Málaga is a major international airport with flights arriving
from all over the world. Málaga is without doubt the best
option if your holiday is in the Province of Granada,
It is about a two hour drive to
las Alpujarrs from the airport. We suggest taking the costal
route instead of going through Granada and take in the views of
the beaches that you might visit later on.

Granada
airport is the closest to the Alpujarras, however- for the time
being at least - few international carriers fly there directly,
which means changing planes at Madrid or Barcelona. Prices are
not usually as competitive as those to Málaga.

Coming
south from Granada.
This includes coming from the directions of Malaga, Madrid or
Valencia. When you get to the circunvalación (ring-road)
of Granada follow the sign-posts to Motril. Granada to Lanjaron
is a 42km drive. About 35km after you leave Granada, exit at the
sign post "Lanjaron". Follow the signs to "Lanjaron, La Alpujarra".
Continue on the smaller road from Granada. This road will take
you directly through Lanjaron and into the Alpujarras. The next
village, Orgiva is just another 15 min. drive down the road. Just
brfore you enter it you will see sign-posts directing you left
to the high Alpujarras.
