This week long flamenco dance workshop takes place in a rural Andalusian environment. It is an introduction to flamenco music and dance, its rhythm and passion. It is addressed to people who may not have flamenco experience but wish to learn Spanish Flamenco dance while they relax and unwind.

The daily schedule allows plenty of free time to rest by the sunny pool or to enjoy the clean air of the Alpujarra mountains, the Mediterranean coast and historical Granada.

Cortijo del Cano is an Alpujarra villa which is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Granada province, Andalusia. Our clients email us back expressing how much they miss its sunshine, its swimming pool and its comforts. It is a great place to rest, learn, have fun and feel like you are at home away from home. The surroundings of the residence, it´s orchards and gardens, are a magnificent place to hike and explore.

The workshop group size is limited to 6 persons so that you will receive plenty of personal attention. This is one of the keys to the success of this workshop since every person has a unique form of learning. Each participant´s well-being and development will be taken care of in a supportive atmosphere in order to leave our inhibitions and self doubts behind.

Thus, you will have an outstanding learning vacation no matter what your age and fitness leve arel. You will acquire a Flamenco dance knowledge that does not fade away and will help you through the coming winter.

Your hosts Greg and Fina, the Cortijo del CanoÕs owners are fun loving people with many friends in the flamenco world. Fond of having guests at their home, they will provide a few flamenco evenings full of music, dance and entertainment. Remember, Flamenco is a highly enjoyable social activity.

The multicultural menus are also part of the experience. They have been thought out to be as healthy and organic as possible including the option of being vegetarian.

In addition, this lively Alpujarra region also offers diverse activities for leisure and learning. Some of these are yoga, massage or meditation sessions, the local spa, Spanish classes, cultural visits and of course wonderful nature hikes, horseback riding and exciting nightlife.
